About me


Hello ladies! My objective still is to, perhaps, encourage connections from some and discourage them from others. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time; particularly my own! First, I should tell you more about myself. I was born the middle child of three boys, raised in a military environment, and have lived all over the globe. Although I was born in Syracuse, NY, I wouldn’t consider myself a New Yorker. Frankly, I’m not a Yankee, not a southerner, probably just an American. I spent just over 20 years in the Army and retired in 2003. Currently, I work as a contractor on Robins AFB providing program management support. I also am an instrument rated pilot and like to travel to weekend destinations via small planes. I should be finished with my degree in Information Technology in less than a year. I do travel moderately for my job(s), but would not say it is to the point where it negatively impacts my ability to have a satisfying relationship. I have a 16 year old son who lives with me most of the time. I am very proud of who he is becoming and do whatever is necessary to enable him to achieve his goals. I try to keep him motivated and eager to perform well by providing reasonable incentives for reaching attainable goals. His continued happiness and success are as important to me as my own. We live in harmony now and any disruption to our peaceful coexistence will be removed. Now let me explain what I am looking for. In fact, let me tell you what I am NOT looking for. I am not looking for someone who is married or isn’t interested in a committed relationship. If you are married and looking for something better, keep looking! Please don’t contact me until you are divorced or widowed with at least a few months under your belt. Also, physical appearance is important to me. That is not to say I am looking for a super model, but I am also not interested in someone who has let herself go and doesn’t take the time or energy to care for herself physically. Next, NO DISEASES! I don’t have one and I don’t want one! I don’t care how great you are otherwise, I just won’t go there. If you have emotional, self-esteem, jealousy, or other psychological imbalances, even if you are taking your medicine – keep looking. I am not taking on any more “projects.” I am not the local used car lot either. If you have poor credit, no credit, slow credit, under bankruptcy etc. – move on. I have worked hard to be in the financial position I am in (in spite of my ex) and am not interested in changing that. Furthermore, if you were ever convicted of anything more serious than a speeding ticket, don’t bother contacting me. Finally, no, and I mean NO, illegal drugs! Nuff said. Now that we’ve got that out of the way – if you’re still reading, great! But let me help you to understand what I AM looking for. Ultimately, I would like to see myself married, but let me make it clear – I am not desperate to get married and would rather stay single before I settle. I want a woman who is comfortable being a woman – meaning a woman who doesn’t reject the traditional roles society has adapted to women. I am comfortable being a man and will handle all the tasks associated with being one – I expect the same. I want a woman who has passion and is passionate. She must be ambitious and creative. Above all, she must be honest. To me honesty also means not misleading even if you weren’t technically lying. Sincerity, compassion, loyalty, kindness and courtesy are all high on my list of qualifications for my ideal mate. The odds of me contacting a woman without a photo were slim to none, but now they are just none. There isn’t a negative stigma associated with online dating anymore. If you don’t have anything to hide, post a picture that shows what you (not just your head) look like!
